Sizing Off by 1 1/2 size
The sizing was off more than the warning of ordering one size down. In my case, it took a 1 1/2 size smaller than my normal size. Once I had the correct size, the leather seam near the elastic material was rubbing against a bone on side of my foot which would have caused a blister. I returned this model and purchased tie up model which is great.

Perfect summer Bean boot!
Every walk on a rainy summer day will be in this great moccasin Bean boot! It has every quality of a Bean boot I’ve expected and enjoyed for many decades; now I can enjoy it in summer, too. Comfortable, dry walking everywhere, anytime. Look great. I followed the advice to order one size smaller than my normal shoe size, and it fits perfectly. Everything I hoped for and traditional Bean quality. (Complements my eight-inch zippered Bean boots for our moderate Maryland winters.)

Old school too narrow heels.
I bought these for use at camp grounds and RV parks rather than ending up with wet shoes due to damp & wet ground. They worked good for that but I didn’t realize how narrow the heels are when compared to modern similar shoes, sneakers and boots. Very poor lateral stability, especially on large gravel surfaces, slight slopes; even more so when slick. Nearly turned my ankle a few times before I adjusted and paid more attention the terrain. After this trip I will order a pair from another company that has wider heels and better stability.

Great new twist on Bean Boots
As I age, bending over to get on my Bean Boots on was a chore. These new slip-in style boots are just what I needed and they fit great. I got my normal shoe size (10.5) in these new style boots and they are nice and snug without being too tight. If you plan to wear thick socks you may want to consider a half size bigger, otherwise they are a great fit. Really like the new style!

These did not fit me at all, I went into the store and exchanged them for the Storm Chaser 5 slip ons which fit very well

Uncomfortable
Ordered the next size down as instructed. they were very uncomfortable and my feet kept sliding inside them. Tried thicker socks but still very uncomfortable. I returned them the next day.
