These versatile lined utility pants combine the best of chinos and jeans and add even more comfort. Made of rugged stretch canvas in a moisture-wicking cotton blend, with soft grid fleece inside for extra warmth.

Riverton Pants...NOT. Redesign disappoints.
The bonded fleece lining is very comfortable, great for cool days. The new Riverton design is pretty bad. Anyone who enjoys their original Rivertons, like me, will likely be disappointed. Rear pocket flaps are gone and replaced with two patch pockets with the right one having a zippered pocket sewn behind it. The right-leg phone pocket is moved to the left leg with an angled-opening pocket that's not big enough to hold my S25 phone with case. The fit feels lower, like a pair of low-rise jeans. I'd love to see these pants re-named for those who like them and the old Riverton design to come back for its many fans.

Warm-ish, anyway
Just received delivery, tried 'em on, on one of the first cold-ish days of the season.
The thighs are a bit tight, but maybe that's my thighs. The waist is a bit low, for sure. The cell-phone-type pocket is poorly located (behind the leg) and much too loose.
The material isn't particularly "tough" or thick but time will tell whether it stands up. The lining is NOT winter-weight. It'd be most useful above 20-30 degrees...or indoors.

Offer more colors!
I could not be happier with these pants. I bought both colors and would buy another pair if these were offered in Peppercorn. The lining is soft, warm and not overly bulky. I like how the side and back pockets are lined too. I appreciate the utility pocket, but as others have mentioned, I think it would be better on the right and centered on the side of the thigh. That’s hardly a deal breaker. Great product!

Great for a cool winter horseback ride
My favorite winter pants. Down to about 20 degrees, very comfortable in and out of our (always keep it at 66 in the winter) home. Also love riding horses in these in cool weather.

Great pants, leg pocket moved to a bad place
I think I must have five pairs of Rivertons, both lined and unlined. With every version, the best feature for me, which is the pocket on the leg where I keep my phone, has moved or changed. Some versions have zippers, some velcro, and the latest has moved it from the right leg in front, to the left leg, behind the leg. Behind the left leg location means it is not convenient for right handers (which most of us are), and you are also sitting on the pocket, which isn't good for the contents (like a phone), or for your leg which has this hard thing underneath it. Please move it back to the right leg, in front, and put a zipper or velcro to keep it closed. The rest of the pants are durable, warm when lined, and overall terrific. It would also be great if it were available in a 28" inseam or could be customized to this length.
