Warmest Parka ever
I am a big fan of Bean products, quality that last's and a company who stands behind their brand. After buying my wife the best down parka and then last year the Baxter state parka, it was time I got some of that warmth. I received this as a Christmas gift this year and I am beyond happy with how warm and resistant to wind and water the coat is. This year has been cold and we aren't even into January yet. If you are like me and freeze all day long, then this is what you need. The bonus is my wife and I are "twinning" in the same coat.
Don't let the price deter you, you'll regret it!!!!

This product runs large. I bought my husband an XL and it's exceptionally large on him. I recommend sizing down one size.

Fantastic Coat
The coat keeps me warm in all frigid conditions, protecting the backside from the cold winds.
The hood stays upright, unlike all brands I have had ever.
Solid protection from the rain and wet snow!

Quite an attractive jacket as well as being extremely warm. And no logos. I do not want to be a walking advertisement for L.L.Bean or anyone else.

Very well made but poorly designed.
The quality of build is top notch and the coat fit like a dream.
However, the placement pf pockets are poorly designed.
The storage pockets on the sides are at odd angles and very small.
Not even large enough to fit a pair of gloves or a hat without forcing them in.
The handwarmer pockets are also a bit out of place and small as well.
You definitely will not be able to wear gloves and use these pockets.
If the coat was redesigned with larger, better placed and lined pockets I would buy it in a heartbeat.
But for the cost, I expected that already to be done.

Very Warm Jacket - Exceeded Expectations
First time wearing the coat was for tailgating and a football game in 8 degree temps. Outside for 6 hours in single-digit temps and the coat was very warm. It is effective at stopping wind and cold. I wish I would have bought this coat a few years sooner.
