Almost perfect
Shopped for a while to find a decent parka. Thought I’d found it, but oh, so close.
Fit is good and color is nice-it’s also toasty warm. But who ever designed the fastening for the hood… needs to change careers. I mean four(4)snaps of two different sizes!? And forget fastening it in the cold ( when you need it most) with gloves on. A magician would quit in frustration. And the main zipper is just as clumsy as the cheap one in the parka I discarded in frustration. For me the hood works better w/o the fake fur feature.

Baxter State parka
Love it. It fits well with layer underneath. Hood and flaps are easy to use. The zipper slides easily. I like that the flap pockets are not sewn down on the edges (like the Maine Warden's). I prefer the all-in-one jacket to removable inner jacket, so this works well for me. It's quite warm. The fabric is less plasticized than the Maine Warden's. I traded in the Main Warden's for this Baxter State and am very glad I did.

Baxter State Parka II Men's Regular
Parka is warm and comfortable. Two way zipper is hard to use to zip up lower part of zipper. I almost returned it but choices are limited to find a decent warm parka after all the cold weather we've had.
