Updated Review (It's WORSE)
Okay, I have ZERO idea what planet all of these other reviewers were travelling when they wore this jacket, but it must have been one without rain or inclement weather. I posted earlier about the cheap materials and shoddy construction, but figured I'd give it one shot in the rain to see if maybe the first impression was off. Nope. Soaked STRAIGHT THROUGH in a short shower. This is NOT a waterproof jacket and the attempt to mimic one has failed miserably. Definitely returning and probably done with Bean at this point. I don't know what is going on but the number of items I've had to return the past few years due to construction and shoddy materials has surpassed the number of items I've bought at this point.

Bean Quality has plummeted
Is everything second-rate fabrics and mass manufactured corner-cutting now? The zipper and pocket seams aren't sewed on at all and look like they were just plastered on. The material of the outer shell is paper thin and absolutely nothing like the material of the jacket I was hoping to replace (a T-Tech by Tumi waterproof rain jacket which is still intact but has seen better days). I cannot imagine this shell holding up to even a moderate trek through brush without a fully compromising snag. On the point of the slapped on zipper seams look... You didn't make the sleeves adjustable and literally just slapped a Velcro patch around the wrist spot so the additional forearm fabric just sloppily sort of half cinches. And we haven't even gotten to the zipper itself or the liner. I waited months for this jacket to go on sale expecting that with it being your flagship item it would rival the tumi. Sorely disappointed. Fabric and structural faux pas aside, had attention been paid to the details the fit would have been grand. For reference, Im a large tall.

Well made and Adjustable
I bought this to replace another rain coat. Well made and very adjustable. So far it is performing better than I expected. Hood adjustments are very useful. I don't wear a helmet, but there seems to be room enough for one and certainly works well with a hat.
