Fell apart after two wears
I wore these boots twice for short hikes with my kids on paved paths. They are already ripping apart on both boots. My first pair of LL Bean footwear and will be my last.

Not sure why I haven't bought more Bean shoes through the years. I'm never disappointed. No shortage of footwear options these days, but there is a difference in the construction and fit. If you were going to have just a few pairs of shoes in the wardrobe, this model would cover the bases. Simple, traditional styling with updated exterior and interior features--proper cushioning bed, not too hard or soft, suede and fabric upper and just enough modern style detailing to take you on or off trail (or across the room). Like the ankle support, proper laces and easy on/off. I wouldn't mind a slightly wider toe box, but I think that is an old guy "wish" for all footwear. OK out of the box, but really got good after a week or too. Decent price, too.

Seams started ripping in less than a month.
These look great but they started to rip at the seems in less than one month of wear. Defective construction and/or design. Returning.
