Lousy Traction
I bought these to replace a pair of non-Bean boots that have served me well in the frozen north of NE Minnesota. These boots were rated to be good on snow and ice. Not True! Awful traction. Useless for anywhere north of South Carolina.

Lovely boots comfortable once broken in.
Very handsome, rugged, fairly lightweight boots with good traction, but, as noted in other reviews, a little tough to get on your feet at first. This is made more difficult by the fact that the pull-on loop at the back is too restrictive in size to be used for that purpose. However, after shoehorning them on several times, they become comfortably broken in and gradually much easier to get on.
