Good backpack.
We like the backpack. The size is perfect for my 1st grader. We love all the pockets. I wish the top carry handle had padding. It does not feel very high quality.

You can always count on a LL Bean backpack
Took all my school-age grandchildren back-to-school shopping. All needed backpacks and the first place we went was LL Bean. They have a variety of sizes and wonderful patterns and colors. Best of all I know these backpacks will last and we won’t need to get a replacement mid-year.

Mesh Pocket fail
Spacious and cute but I took away stars because one of the mesh pockets already has a hole in it and we’ve had this bag less than 30 days. My daughter is not rough on bags so very disappointed especially due to the cost, was expecting better quality. Other than that it holds all my 1st grader’s items, lots of pockets and will grow with her. She absolutely loves it, wish the pocket held up as we planned to use again for next year.

Loved it, but side pockets developed holes
I loved this backpack for my 2nd grader, but the mesh pockets for water bottles developed multiple holes within 6 months with daily use for school. I was hoping for a longer lasting backpack from LL Bean.
