Too Small for all the 3rd Grade Stuff
It's a very nice well-made backpack, but was too small for our needs so I returned it. My son is in third grade and needed a school backpack to hold some books, his lunchbox, and the snow clothes he shoves in there at the end of the day. This pack was a good size for his body (he's a tall 9 year-old), but not roomy enough for all his stuff.

Great quality
Great backpack and will work for a few years. My son wanted a "big boy" backpack like his brothers so of course we now have all 3 boys in LLBean BP's. He's in kinder and I bet we don't buy another one until middle school. LLBean quality is fantastic, I'm 40 and I still have a fleece pullover that I got for Christmas in 8th grade that fits and is still warm. I love that LLBean makes items that are meant to last and are timeless. Thank you an Northeast girl living in the Midwest but still loves her Bean!

Great backpack
We absolutely love this backpack. We only got it a few weeks ago so can’t speak to longevity just yet, but quality seems great. It’s very spacious for my 4th grader. He loves the colors, and it seems to transition well from the younger character backpacks he’s used thus far.

Sturdy pack
Great and sturdy pack for kid or adult! We’re using it for a kid and it has plenty of space for all her stuff and while it is big for her, I have a feeling it will last a long time and she’ll grow into it.

Perfect pack for primary school
This backpack is well-constructed and is the perfect size for my kindergartener. It easily fits his lunch, folder, and water bottle. There’s some room for him to continue to grow into it and I’m confident that we’ll get several years of use from this pack.

Faded in sun, doesn’t hold 24 oz bottle well
Good backpack except it faded in the sun (kids are required to keep them outside for safety reasons) after a few weeks. We upgraded our child to a larger 24 oz water bottle and I noticed it tends to fall out of the side pocket easily. May be time to get a bigger backpack! Otherwise the multiple pockets and laptop sleeve are really great and functional.
