- For this style, we recommend you order a full size down from your regular shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a size 9, order a size 8.

Tight fit - allow for a break in period
Allow extra time for getting your feet into these boots: the instep is very, very narrow. Also, the uppers are very stiff, with little give, and the laces are almot too stiff to tie. Hopefully the boots will soften up with wear. I need them for workig around our property.
I normally wear size 7 1/2 and bought 6 1/2, which fit like 7 1/2. Why Bean oesn't just label the footwear true to size is a mystery.

Love them had to buy 1/2 size big and in wide to get my foot in. I ordered the 6 reg first and old not get my foot past the bottom of tongue. But I can wear thick socks and I just love them.

I’ve owned my bean boots for about 2 years. I wore them maybe a dozen times when it’s rainy. One of them has started to leak. I am so disappointed. I expected them to last longer.

Not the same quality
Returned. Bought these in 2000 - they lasted up until 2023. Decided to replace them and was utterly disappointed. The seam, where they were sewn together were pulled apart the material that made the boots felt cheap and rubbed up against my ankle. Can’t believe they were made in America.

Disappointed
I returned the boots because (as another reviewer commented,) the tongue being sewn up to the top of the boot made it nearly impossible for me to get it on. VERY DISAPPOINTED as I have previously owned and loved the Bean boot.
