Softest, plushest terry robe
The plushest, softest terry robe I've owned in decades! I used to order these from a competitor, but the last one I ordered, about 8 years ago, wasn't as thick and absorbent as the previous ones, so when it started to wear out, I decided to give L.L. Bean's terry robe a try. I am so glad I did; it is head and shoulders above the competition. The outside is soft and velvet-like, while the inside has absorbent loops. It's generously sized (I ordered a S, I'm usually between an XS and a S), and even has inner ties to keep the robe from opening if you wear it outside the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a robe to wrap up in after a shower or bath.

Love my new robe!
I needed to replace an old robe and could not find anything similar until now. My new robe is perfect for coming out of the shower (terry interior) and is so plush and cozy (velour exterior) that I love lounging in it.
The size Medium fit is perfect. I am just under 5’4” and weigh 137 pounds. I was concerned that a Medium would be too snug over my old size large Lantz nightgowns, but it isn’t. The sleeve length is also perfect. I’ve already washed and dried my new robe and seems fine, but I’ve only had it a few weeks.
My only suggestion is the robe could have just a tiny bit more heft to it. Yet, I appreciate that it’s not too heavy and bulky.
In short, this was a great find for me and I am so relieved and delighted!

Love my new robe!
I’m very pleased with my robe! It is just as described, size is great, with more than enough wrap around. (I’m 5’2”, 130) and the length is almost ankle. It’s a great weight, warm with being too heavy. Seems very well made and color is true to description!

This could have been so much more
If you are looking for a velour type robe of lighter weight, this is your robe. It's not that thick. The sleeves were still too long on me and this is a petite. Despite the rolled cuff on the robe, I had to roll back a little more. The length is fine. It comes nearly to my ankles. I bought a petite XL robe in the "deep sea" color. It's not my favorite color, to be honest. But, I wanted a replacement robe for a blue robe which I had bought from LL Bean some years ago. This is, sadly, not equal to that robe. I like a nice, heavy terrycloth robe for winter. My old one was made in Turkey, I believe. You can't get much more absorbent than that. I would recommend this robe only if you want a lighter weight velour texture. I prefer a heavier weight and texture. But, I will keep this because it will enable me to throw out an even older green robe that is totally disintegrating due to age. My current old Turkish winter-weight robe wore thin in the elbows and the fabric blew out the one elbow due to age and wear & tear. I like two weights in robes. One for summer and one for the rest of the year. This new one must be for summer. I will continue on my quest to find a nice, heavy terrycloth robe for winter. A shame this one is not what I had in mind. I'd bought it online, so I didn't know the weight of it. My old robe was sold by L.L. Bean, but I don't recall when I bought it. I wanted to give it a 5-star and extoll the virtues of the terrycloth robe, but I can't because it disappoints me. But, I will use it. Next time, I will select in person and not rely on Internet order for something like this.
