We designed this versatile crewneck in a smooth, machine-washable cotton blend with a bit of cashmere for noticeable softness. Midweight construction in a melange knit makes it more substantial and perfect for changing seasons.

Great value
The cotton cashmere crewneck is very well made and somewhat heavier than the cotton cashmere turtlenecks I ordered a couple of years ago. It's a very versatile piece that's great with jeans or can be dressed up with accessories for work wear. It's one of the best values I've seen at this this price.

Great colors, but not style
I loved the textured fabric of cotton and cashmere. I loved the deep green color because it could be paired with gold for fall, with red for Christmas , and with blue for winter. I had wanted this sweater for dress, but the sloppy style wasn’t attractive. It is more relaxed than slightly fitted. The dropped shoulders look saggy. And the high/low hem is not dressy. I know it’s a trendy style, but women shouldn’t look sloppy. So in the end I decided to splurge and ordered the deep green full cashmere sweater instead.

Beautiful Sweater!
Although I haven't worn it yet because it's been too warm, it is a beautiful sweater. I bought the dark green & the red. Love these colors for fall & winter. These sweaters are so comfortable (I have tried them on) and will be perfect for the coming seasons. I can't wear most wools or cashmere next to my skin (allergic) so I was so glad to see the combination cotton/cashmere fabric.

returning - uncomfortably thick weave
I love the style (a basic crewneck is hard to find...), but the weight of the weave is uncomfortably heavy. Unfortunately, there's nothing else on the LLB site that works for me as I can't wear wool, pure cashmere is too expensive, and I don't care for the slub-style sweaters.
I've ordered the other cotton-cashmere crewneck with mixed success - some colors worked well - - another color pilled and quickly lost its shape.
LLBean used to be known for quality basics. I wish that was still true.... Trendy isn't for everyone, and the prices have certainly risen, when quality often has not..
