Another plea to bring back the old design.
Please bring back the original Riverton pants. They fit perfectly, feel great, and look great. I especially like the right side pocket design for quick access to small tools like flashlights, pens, knives, etc. The new version doesn't fit well. I had to order a size larger than usual and they're still tight in the waist and more baggy in the thighs. The rear pocket spacing is also wider which looks rather odd.

Same complaint as others…
Bring back the old design with the lower accessory pockets. Those were the greatest pants of all time!

Bring back the old style
These were my favorite pants when they had all the pockets. They were like cargos without the gaudy flaps. Please bring back the old version (w/o the velcro).

New Style
These new style pants feels like the old, which is one of my favorites to wear. The difference for me is in the pockets. I miss the large cell phone pocket on the front right leg, it was perfect for my iphone max. Instead, there is a small coin pocket which I don't expect to use. Does anyone carry coins anymore? Make this pocket the same size as the old cell phone pocket and it would be perfect.
The non-velcro rear pockets on the new style are a welcome change for me. Because of the utility, I take these pants on travel abroad. I don't carry a wallet - only a credit card and some small bills. On the old style, I hate having to open the very noisy velcro to get into the pocket. It's like advertising that I'm accessing my money. Now there's a zipper pocket which is quieter to open and close, though not pick-pocket proof. There is also a side pocket on the left leg. This would be perfect for my phone if it were placed a few inches forward so it's in front of me to monitor, not off to the side. Overall, I'll continue to buy these pants for their feel and utility, but hope for the changes mentioned.

not as good as the previous
Purchased this newer version since i lost weight and needed a smaller size. They removed several pockets which i guess to cut cost. The older style were great if you were working or traveling, lots of pockets to store phones, box cutters, contractor pencils, etc. Bad move LL Bean.

They've Changed
The pants have changed and not for the better. They eliminated the right front thigh pocket that I used for my cellphone and the left side thigh zip that I put my wallet in. The new style is not as useful. They added a zip pocket to the rear which limits its utility because who wants to sit on their stuff. So disappointed they messed with a good style. Full disclosure: I've owned 4 pairs over these over the last 7 years and came back to purchase replacements. Did not purchase the modified style yet.

Change for the sake of change is NOT a good thing
It is obvious from the numerous one-star reviews that LL Bean made a mistake in the redesign of the Riverton pants. Why not listen to your customers and bring back the original design? Also, didn't they use to offer a Riverton with stretch version? I don't see that anywhere. In general, LL Bean has gone WAY down in quality over the last few years. Very sad.
