Love these pants!
I bought these for my son to wear to work as a teacher. They have held up very well and therefore I have purchased more of them. I like that they are comfortable for him and make him look dressed up without being too dressy. Also my son is a 30/34 and they are true to size. Another great LLbean purchase!

Disappointed and unhappy
Went to local store and tried on pants, Men's Lakewashed® Stretch Khakis, Standard Athletic Fit, ...with 36 waist. They were too long. The waist fir great.
Ordered a shorter length with a 36 waist and received them by USPS (or UPS). The waist was VERY tight, nothing like the ones I tried on at the store.
Poor quality control perhaps??? Shouldn't 36's be the same no matter if in the store or ordered online?

Perfect Fit!
Yes, the color and quality are spot on. And the stretch fabric has a subtle give with a great feel. But the "Standard Athletic" Fit is fantastic; super comfortable! Please add this fit to all the pants LL Bean sells, it is perfect.

Perfect fit!
Due to either my bone structure or my cycling hobby, most pants are uncomfortably tight through the thighs. The athletic cut is perfect for me, and I really like the fit of these pants. Before they came out with the athletic fit, I was wearing the straight fit version of these same khakis. These are basically the same cut, except with more room in the thigh area. I am much happier with these, and I just bought 6 more pairs.
