This warm anorak is a new and creative twist on our legendary wool tops. Made with the same rugged wool as our other Maine Guide wool apparel, this is the perfect hooded sweatshirt for cool days.
- Shell is 70% wool/25% nylon/5% polyester twill.
- Body and sleeves lined with 100% recycled polyester taffeta.
- Body insulation: Coldshield 100% recycled polyester 60gr.
- Dry clean.
- Wool is warm even when wet and quiet in the field so you won't spook game.
- Lined with Cold Shield 60-gram recycled polyester for warmth.
- Kangaroo pouch for warming hands with zippered pocket behind to hold small necessities.
- It's equally at home in the field on a hunt or out with friends for a post-hunt beverage.
- Quarter button up with four buttons.

Bring back the wool par
LL Bean: Ditch the synthetic fibers.
I was really excited about this Anorak until I saw what it was made out of. The color is awesome but that's where the positivity ends for me. The beauty of wool is that it is antimicrobial and does not stink like synthetic fibers do. Synthetics are also bad for our health and bad for the environment, something that LL Bean should be concerned about. I would rather pay a bit more for something that is 95% wool with as little to no synthetics used. It looks great otherwise.

Everything was perfect, until it wasn’t
LL Bean, I beg of you, please fix this one thing to make this Anorak the perfect piece of gear for the outdoors!
I love anoraks, and anyone who has spent any real time outdoors can attest to the utility, versatility and comfort of one. I was so hopeful when I stumbled across LL Beans wool anorak. The price didn’t make you take out a loan from the bank like many others ($600+) and the colors and patterns were a nice change from the usual OD Green and I love LL Bean’s quality of product (stitching, material etc). So, long story short, I grab one, super psyched, throw it on and start heading out to the woods when ever so quickly my thoughts are drowned out by the garbage bag for a liner! Why of why?!? Determined, I kept venturing forward trying to convince myself it’s not as bad as it sounds. I lasted 20 minutes, the peace of the woods could never be attained unless I stood perfectly still and didn’t breath too heavily. Theirs is no way you can hunt in this and even if the sound didn’t bother you (because you are losing your hearing), you would be THAT person around the campfire who would have the groups full annoying attention with every move. Please, I beg of you, remove that lining and replace it with some softer wool or literally anything else that is soft, breaths, and doesn’t make any noise. I would literally buy 6 of them and just keep them in reserve for the many years left of my life because they would be perfect!
