Nice looking but not suitable for hunting
I elk hunted for two days in this thing and it felt and sounded like I had a garbage bag on underneath this hoody. The wool exterior is nice, but the liner is very loud and doesn’t breathe.
Two of the best qualities about LL Bean Guide wool hunting clothing are, or I guess should be, its quietness extraordinary ability to regulate temperature.
This piece does neither thanks to its cheap poly liner and insulation. I’m going to try to cut it out and sew a wool sweater in its place.

Maine Guide Wool Anorak Men's Tall
True to size fit and good quality construction. Liner offers wind resistance but breathability is poor. During extended activity lack of breathability leads to body becoming clammy and then loss of anorak warmth. Unbottoning anorak top allows some breathability control but not enough to overcome lack of liner breathability. If cost allowed, "gore tex" or equiv. liner would help.

Great hoodie
Looks like a well designed garment but I would be just as interested in those jeans for hunting and riding my motorcycle. Do you sell those pants?

Wanted to love it but didn’t
I really wanted to love this as someone who wears the Maine guide shirt all winter long. The weight was much lighter and cheaper feeling than the Maine guide shirts. Also the lining is super noisy and just feels like it is going to get a hole in it due to it only being attached at the seams. Loose linings are something that drive me crazy and typically don’t scream high quality. This one will unfortunately be going back. Wish there was a heavier unlined version.

Excellent Wool Anorak
Quality wool anoraks are scarce in the marketplace. L.L. Bean produced a high quality, wool, lined anorak that will perform well in the field or just hiking around town. Enthusiastically recommended!

Excellent mid-weight
I wish this was a little thicker as i want to use it in the middle of northern winter but this is an excellent mid weight coat. Well built like the vintage stuff

Great Fit, Perfect for Winter
I was hesitant to buy this at first because there were no reviews, and finding clothes for tall people can be tricky. However, it turned out to be very comfortable. It’s not too heavy but will do a great job of keeping the chill away. Paired with a vest, it’s perfect for colder weather.
