Handle came off within 1 day of normal use
Should have listened to reviews. The handle came off the first time he hung it up. All he had in it was a binder. One side broke and I was able to just pull the other side off. Not sure if the quality has gone down with llbean but his previous backpack lasted 3 years no issues. Just need a bigger one for him.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and its only been a couple of weeks really since he used it. However the piece on the top of the bag is already broken. I have a bag from 2009 that looks brand new still. I believe the quality of the material has changed tremendously. I'm pretty disappointed with this.

Poor quality
Roomy and has enough compartments. However, top strap has separated on the very first day before my son even made it to school. Definitely not what I expected from the brand. I have seen similar reviews and should've stayed away.

Great backpack, lots of room.
I bought this backpack for my daughter when she started college in August. The strap on top broke after 2 weeks of use. She loves the backpack and has continued to use it until she is home for the holiday break.

Love the space, missing the quality
I’ve used this bag only 2 days and the top strap is already detaching and fraying. Definitely a disappointment and not the LLBean quality I’m used to. The bag itself is spacious and has plenty of pockets, so if the quality was there, it’d be fantastic.
