Hanging loop ripped off after first time ise
I bought this pack to use as an airplane carry-on, and after my first trip, the handle ripped completely loose on one side, and frayed on the other. It wasn’t overloaded, I had 2 novels, a sweatshirt, small purse, and a couple of hats in there, with the water bottle in front. I expected more from such a quality brand, and I’ve never ever had issues with L.L. Bean backpacks in the past! So disappointed!!

Top strap ripped after month of use
Believe the other reviewers. The shoddy top-strap construction is not an anomoly, ours ripped after a month of normal use. We have had L.L. Bean backpacks that have lasted for years, but upgraded to the 32L for something roomier for our son. So disappointed and expect more from L.L. Bean.

Very Disappointing
The stitching on a shoulder strap and the seams of the straps were poorly constructed. Day one of trip and the tearing began by the time I reached my destination the strap foam cushioning was exposed an the strap was barely attached to the bag. Wanted this for my entire trip and had to put in the garbage and figure something else out for the remainder of the vacation. Disappointing!
