Product Details

The Maine-made, weather-ready Rubber Moc customers love, now even more comfortable and durable - and in half sizes too!

  • For this style, we recommend you order a full size down from your regular shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a size 9, order a size 8.

In 1912, when 90 of his first 100 pairs of boots sold were returned, our founder, L.L., sent out refunds and fixed the problem. We've followed in his footsteps, listening to customers and making improvements while staying true to everything that makes Bean Boots legendary. Best of all, they're still sewn right here in Maine - one pair at a time - by expert craftspeople. Whoever says, "they don't build things like they used to," doesn't own a pair of these.

  • Uniquely shaped foot form offers comfort and stability, and a steel shank adds support.
  • Convenient slip-on style with rawhide laces to adjust fit.
  • Innovative triple-needle stitching provides long-lasting durability.
  • Waterproof rubber boot bottom keeps feet dry.
  • Upgraded dual-density insole offers enhanced comfort and cushion all day long.
  • Iconic chain-tread outsole is now made from a longer-lasting rubber.
  • Updated high-quality supple leather upper gets better with time.
  • Best for rain, mud and other wet conditions.
  • Waterproof up to 1 cm below the top of the rubber.
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great shoe. Once you get the size down, they are perfect. In my case it's a size and a half down.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best bean boots in years The new leather for the uppers of bean boots is lightyears better than it’s been in many years, so pleased they made that change. The new insole is a nice bonus as well. As most reviewers state, size down about 1 whole shoe size depending on your foot width and consider that a rubber boot won’t stretch to conform to your foot shape like a leather boot will. As long as they keep making them in Maine, I’ll keep buying them!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Weird size discrepancy Believe them when they say there is an entire size difference btwn what you wear and what you should buy!!! I was wary b/c bunions make normal sizes uncomfortable; but I should have dropped a whole size, not a half size. Not clear to me why they do this.

Rated 5 de 5 de par L.L.Bean shoe/boot These are good quality, just like the last pair which I bought years ago. I wouldn't have bought another pair if the last pair didn't last a long time.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Ridiculous sizing. There's a difference between a "unique fit" and the design of this shoe. The heels are far too wide. I usually wear a 8.5, and even in the smallest men's size available (a 7), it took wearing 2 pairs of thick wool socks to make it fit correctly. That's fine in the dead of winter, but I really would want this shoe to be versatile fall, winter, and spring. I understand needing to wear a thicker sock with them (say a lighter wool), but with just one sock on they were too loose - an obvious problem for a shoe that will naturally loosen up with time. An insole made my foot not fit into the shoe properly. After ordering 3 different sizes, I've given up for now. It seems to be a recurring issue to the point that I've read reviews of men go into women's sizing (same exact shoe, just different sizes). I will look into this but only after I've had the opportunity to visit a physical store and try on sizes personally rather than guessing. Great classic shoe and good quality, but really missed the mark in sizing.

Rated 4 de 5 de par 5 star quality 4 star fit (that I’ve made work) In a lot of ways these are a 5 star product. But the fit for me is challenging. So they are a 4 star, that I love like a 5. They are the ultimate slip on and off while you have stuff in your hands garden shoe. Perfect dewey mornings and all day. The moc style retains less heat than any other waterproof or rubberized shoe I’ve had. I love that. No swamp feet. The rubberized base and elevated heel have also been amazing while hose and brush scrubbing a basement and garage floor. And they have been surprisingly comfortable even hours in to walking around in them. However, these are not a natural fit for me, but I’m making them work. I wear a mens 11 or 10.5/ depending on the shoe/boot fit. I have fairly narrow feet, medium arches, and am a super pronater. These really aren’t the fit for me. They are wide and floppy, and while the insert is supportive in the arch, they aren’t designed to keep pronaters feet and ankles up right. So I got a size 10 and it was completely floppy on my foot and thought no way. But I have been able to break them in and make them work. You must use the moc laces. Tighten them pulling from the back to front and pulling them tight. Where them around for a day, stretch things out, and tighten again. These have really broken in and I’ve been able to tighten them enough to conform enough to my feet. I love them! But wish the fit was a little more natural for my feet.
