Second Pair
These are my second pair. I liked the first and expect to like the second. Would have loved to have a half size smaller. I will need to wear heavy sox when I shovel snow or on rainy days.

Best bean boots in years
The new leather for the uppers of bean boots is lightyears better than it’s been in many years, so pleased they made that change. The new insole is a nice bonus as well. As most reviewers state, size down about 1 whole shoe size depending on your foot width and consider that a rubber boot won’t stretch to conform to your foot shape like a leather boot will. As long as they keep making them in Maine, I’ll keep buying them!

Weird size discrepancy
Believe them when they say there is an entire size difference btwn what you wear and what you should buy!!! I was wary b/c bunions make normal sizes uncomfortable; but I should have dropped a whole size, not a half size. Not clear to me why they do this.

Ridiculous sizing. There's a difference between a "unique fit" and the design of this shoe. The heels are far too wide. I usually wear a 8.5, and even in the smallest men's size available (a 7), it took wearing 2 pairs of thick wool socks to make it fit correctly. That's fine in the dead of winter, but I really would want this shoe to be versatile fall, winter, and spring. I understand needing to wear a thicker sock with them (say a lighter wool), but with just one sock on they were too loose - an obvious problem for a shoe that will naturally loosen up with time. An insole made my foot not fit into the shoe properly. After ordering 3 different sizes, I've given up for now. It seems to be a recurring issue to the point that I've read reviews of men go into women's sizing (same exact shoe, just different sizes). I will look into this but only after I've had the opportunity to visit a physical store and try on sizes personally rather than guessing. Great classic shoe and good quality, but really missed the mark in sizing.
