Our twist on a classic, with authentic cable designs from the Aran Islands. This cotton fisherman sweater vest is made from soft-draping cotton yarns that flatter and span the seasons more than traditional wool.
We chose 100% cotton yarns to give our cable sweater vest year-round appeal. It's lighter with an easier drape than traditional fisherman sweaters, offering supreme comfort and beautiful style.

The yarn was thinner than I expected.
Having many signature sweaters I thought the yarn would be like the cotton sweaters and it is thinner. The neck and arm holes are Rolled over and thicker to maintain shape but the body thickness of yarn is thin like a light weight sweater. I bought a large because it is what was lefti am usually a medium, I am glad because it is going in the wash and dry on warm it is smaller than expected for a large from llbean.

Absolutely love this vest! Not only is it great over long and short sleeve shirts but I can wear it as a sleeveless top! The arm holes aren’t too big- Yay!

Heavy and bulky
The first thing I noticed was how heavy this vest is. It's also bulky and not flattering -- and I seriously doubt it would help me stay warm on cold days. I returned the vest and will look for one made of wool instead.
