At last! A great 8 inch short!
I am only 5'1' and too old for short shorts, yet 9 inch shorts look impossibly dowdy on me. Eight inches is my perfect length, and I was unable to find a pair until one of your chat personnel pointed this short out to me. I can't say how much I love them. Sizing is, well, a bit odd. Although I own other LL Bean shorts in size 6 and my jeans have always been a size 6 I needed to buy these in a size four, and the rise is "classic" rather than "favorite fit" (which is fine by me! I agree with the other comment that the colors are not good (I bought gray). If you add navy and a true summer kakki next year I will buy them for sure. Also, it would save us a lot of work if you included the length of a short in the title.

Love these shorts - more colors please
Love everything about this short. Length, pocket depth, material which hangs nicely without the bulk in the front zipper area. Please please please add more colors: navy, natural khaki ( not the taupe you currently offer ).

Great Shorts!
Nice quality, lightweight but sturdy hiking shorts. Love the deep side pockets and zip rear pockets. Can easily carry wallet, phone, and keys while hiking. Quick drying and no wrinkles. Perfect for wearing anytime. 5’6” 155 lb. Size 14 was a very comfortable fit.

Great fabric
I love the light fabric of these shorts. But unlike shorts I’ve bought from Bean in the past, these stay crisp looking even after a full day of wear.
Great pockets that are deep enough to hold a phone, bandana and dog treats.

missing back pockets
The only reason I did not give a five stars is because no pockets in the back. Good pockets on the side and along the legs, but the one in the back is the one useful especially for the phone.
Except for that, I love all the rest: material, fit, look.

Smaller Sizes Needed
I am a 5' 2" 112 lb active 45 year old and the smallest size, a 4 in this case, of these shorts swim on me. If these shorts can be offered in up to a 26W, it doesn't seem unreasonable that that the size range could start at 2 or even 0. Please offer these sizes. The shorts would be perfect otherwise, thanks.

All around great short
Finally a short I would love every color in. The length is perfect for those of us who don’t like short shorts. The fabric washed well and no shrinkage on low heat. I love the pockets and the fit.
