Love the fit, sturdiness, style and color
I was close to leaving for Peru when my hiking shoes started hurting my feet. I was barely able to break in these LL Beans before leaving. They were a bit stiff in the beginning, but there was total foot comfort and support. In only about a day the shoes felt perfect and took me on many adventures in Peru. The style and coloring really complemented anything that I wore in the trip.

Good waterproof boots
I've only worn these boots a few times for walks so far and for a short hike. They are comfortable and have good support. I have wide feet and they are a good fit for me. I love that they are waterproof for when the grass is still damp in the morning while walking my dog. Hopefully they will keep my feet dry for a long time.

Best shoes I’ve ever owned
If I were trapped on a deserted island, these are the shoes I hope are with me. I’m an 8.5 in shoes and and 8.5 in these. They offer so much stability on the sides and transition easily from hiker to shoes around town. Now that I have these, I’m having a hard time deciding whether to take these or my more hard core Bean hiking boots when hiking in the mountains.
