Pear Shape
Turns out I am probably between sizes on these shorts. Being pear shaped, a 12 probably too small, the 14s a bit big. However they are well made and comfortable- if not especially attractive on me.

Bermuda shorts
I purchased these Bermuda shorts because of the 9 inch inseam and the color. To my surprise these shorts are so very comfortable, wash well, did not shrink and needed little ironing. I like the press look. If you are heavy in the thighs and buttocks plenty of room.

Well made, but sizing is screwy
These were my second attempt at buying these shorts. I have some size 8 high rise shorts from a previous season that are getting snug, so I ordered these in size 10, and couldn't even get them closed, so I returned them, and ordered size 12 as soon as those were back in stock. The closing of the size 12 shorts is only slightly looser than my old size 8 shorts. And, even though they are described as medium rise/Favorite Fit, they hit several inches above my waist. At the same time, there is too much room in the seat. (I selected Too Large below only because I can't submit the review without picking something.)
