Pocket problem
These shorts fit well. The big problem is the pockets are considerably shorter than in other shorts purchased from L.L. Bean, and items in the pockets are prone to falling out. For a handicapped senior citizen who can't bend over far enough to pick things off the floor, this is a major issue. The extra fabric to make the pocket correctly would cost less than a dollar.

Great pair of shorts
Overall the Explorer Ripstop shorts look good, are very comfortable and well made. The only issue is that the front pockets should be deeper. If you sit back to relax, the items in your pocket slide out.
