Bad Design
These boots are almost impossible to put on. They were described as "slip on". I have three other styles of slip ons and they all have an external loop at the back to help putting them on. The Hybrid Wellie does not have an external loop. The elastic material in the ankle area of the Hybrid Wellie has almost no flexibility. The combination of the absence of
an external loop and the inflexibility of the elastic material makes these boots a bad
design. I would rate these has one star or lower.

Doubtful LL Bean ever inspected manufacturing
These boots are extremely poorly made. The right boot is significantly wider than the left as you can see in the photo. Will be returning

Too hard to get on
The boots fit well and were comfortable but were nearly impossible for my son to get on his feet. They need a loop on the back to hold onto while pulling them on. As is, there's nothing to grasp. Unfortunately, they are going back.

Wellies for Mucking Around
I need these for mucking around my camp in northern Maine gardening and taming the pines. These Wellies fit well and do the job well. They have room for a heavy sock day or a thin sock day. I don’t mind the bit of room for my foot to wiggle. My only suggestion is a better design of the loop at the rear top which helps with sliding your foot into the Willie. It’s too short and attached too low for slipping my finger into and pulling them on. Otherwise I’m pleased with these Wellies!

I love that there's no shoe laces to deal with and they're waterproof. Very comfortable also.
