Garbage and dangerous.
Now that I’m in my 40s I decided that a wading stick would be prudent. The first time I put trust and just a little weight on this thing it broke, I fell into the river, filled my waders, destroyed a key fob and snapped my favorite fly rod. Ironically, I purchased two, the other for a friend, so we could have more confidence wading. I would have been better off without it. Dick’s has one for 1/3 the price and it can actually keep you afoot if you lose your balance.
It’s not marketed as a cane, a crutch or any medical device, but selling this as a wading staff, nonetheless, is irresponsible, and dangerous. A refund for the purchase price wouldn’t cover what this thing has cost me.
