A seriously soft and substantial crewneck sweatshirt in a long-lasting cotton/polyester blend. Our heavyweight fabric is brushed on the inside for an extra-cozy feel.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.

Best Made Sweatshirt I’ve Found
This is the highest quality, most substantial and best constructed sweatshirt I’ve worn in 30 years. Although it’s a men’s shirt, I wear them (I have two) all winter around the house with a turtleneck underneath because my house is cold.
I just wish they were a little less expensive and available in more colors like the one in the picture.

Quality sweatshirt
This is a nice sweatshirt. Seems well built and not too bulky like other sweatshirts. Personally I think it is tea good weight, not too hot nor cool.

Diminished Quality
This is the fourth LL Bean sweatshirt I have purchased over the last 10-15 years. All are very comfortable, warm and rugged. One of my go to pieces for winter wear. The latest one is not up to their normal quality level. After two washes, the elastic in the sleeves and waistband is limp and loose. Not something you would expect at this price and their reputation.
