Great jacket!
This jacket is incredibly warm, even on cold and windy days on the slopes. It has great ventilation so it doesn’t get hot. Includes all the right pockets and features to make it an excellent ski jacket.

Not warm at all
Got this for Christmas and was very disappointed. Not warm, no cover on the zipper so the wind and wet goes right in and the hood is enormous. Just threw out my Cabela’s jacket that I have had for 15 years. Wore that coat skiing, sleigh riding with my kids and as a warm under layer during deer season. Getting cold with this jacket just taking the garbage out. Will be looking for a replacement.

Love this jacket
Love this jacket. Skiid all day 20 degrees with windchill making it temperature closer to 10. Plenty warm with base layer. The back covers low enough to block the cold on the chair lift…not long enough to completely cover seat but enough. Love the number of pockets…including one for ski pass on the arm. Although wish that pocket were on the outside of the forearm rather than inside of forearm. Most of the time the card reader read it without me having to turn my arm around. Overall love this jacket!!

Too small and cheap zipper
We have had a number of great products from LL Bean over the years, but I have to say that this coat was a huge disappointment! I received it for Christmas in 2023 and I kept thinking I would learn to like it but I did not. It is too tight in multiple areas and the zipper is VERY difficult to work. It is plastic and really not a good zipper. Warmth wise, it is probably fine and I don’t mind the stiff fabric. The hood is large to fit over a helmet, so make sure you are aware of that.

Just OK but not as good as previous version
So far it is waterproof & seems to dry fairly quickly once inside. However, the hood & collar are WAY too big, even adjusted! It also lacks the front zipper flap, inner sleeve gaiters and packable balaclava like the older version of the jacket has! It is also not nearly as warm as the older version and the cuffs do not have enough Velcro to properly tighten the cuffs for smaller wrists! I ordered a Med Petite, like my last ski jacket (5’1”” and 130-135lb) and I guess the old saying they don’t make them like they used to applies here! It’s OK, but not nearly as nice as my older Bean jacket that has finally just about worn out after 15 years or so of constant winter wear! I also fear the zipper on this new one will wear out soon, it is not sturdy! I kept it for the waterproof aspect…I just need to layer more and not always rely on the hood! Bummer.

Too stiff.
This jacket was a real disapointment. The outer shell was so stiff that it was difficult to get on. The zipper was also too hard to even start to zip up.
