Why doesn't LL Bean fix the sizing of these boot?
I purchased the "6.5" Bean Boot Chelsea Women's in a size 7 as I am a size 7-1/2 to 8. They were too large and I exchanged them for a size 6-1/2. Those were too large. The fit is so wonky. I gave up.

I wanted to love these boots…
Loose upper around ankle. Poor support. Room for snow and wet to get in. Upper rim chafes at my ankle.

weird fit
I'm generally a size 8.5, ordered these in an 8 and the length is perfect but the heel and ankle are so wide it feels like wearing clown shoes, my heel slips almost completely out. I think if I sized down the length would be too short.
They're exactly what I was looking for in terms of color and style, the opening is just too large for them to function as anything other than a slipper for me. They're so easy on/off that they won't hardly stay on while walking.

Great quality but do fit big - 9 Women's
These are great but felt too big. I'm a 9 in Women's (if anything a (Wide) and these are so big they're almost falling off. But very good quality otherwise.

Nice boots.
Nice boots. Great keeping my feet dry while washing boat and pressure washing drive. Love them. The fit is not great. They were a little large. I added extra padding.

Not recommended for bunions
I’ve wanted a pair of Bean Boots for years and finally found these. Love the color and seem well made. However I have bunions. One short walk and I knew these boots won’t work for me. The toebox is just too narrow. I find it odd these boots are not available in a wide width. Will be returning.

Lightweight and Comfortable!
A true classic! I bought the chocolate 6.5” Chelsea Bean boot for an easy slip on and go boot for the rainy days. Super lightweight but well made, nice leather, and chocolate brown IS the color of the season!
