Runs very small
These socks were very long and narrow. My 8 1/2 YO daughter is tall and lean (75% for height, 25% for weight) and she could not even get the size L socks on past her heals. We will be returning as she can't even get them on.

Inside sock irritation - too rough
I thought these would be perfect for my son who wears AFO’s He has special needs and doesn’t complain about much but the second time I tried to put them on him, he refused. He said they hurt. I didn’t understand what he meant. I turned them inside out and there are so many rough seams/pieces/ edges, now I understand. I even tried to wear and could not tolerate the irritation. Atypical for LlBean products. This is the camo socks mostly. 2 stars because the other pair is a little better.

Not good for winter sports
My son tried these socks skiing today and complained that they were very uncomfortable the whole day, he said they were rubbing in a weird way-- I couldn't figure out why and then I saw that the inside of these socks is covered in threads-- this should be a total non-starter for ski socks! Would have expected better from LL Bean.
