Cocoon Cardigan
Loved the fit. Loved the color. Then I wore it and it pils like crazy, inside and out. Now I have to buy a sweater shaver in order to keep it from looking like I got it off the rag heap.

Pilling and lint
I purchased this sweater as a gift to myself. Wore it twice then washed it as directed. Unbelievable amount of loose wool and cotton in my washer. Handfuls. Shook and picked off excess on the sweater as well. Wore the sweater approximately 1 week later and within 1 hour just the rubbing of arms to the body of the sweater caused yet more pilling and shedding. I am returning this horrible sweater.

Excessive Pilling - Cocoon Cardigan
Bought this before Thanksgiving. Loved the feel and fit, and then I wore it. Unbelievable pilling both, inside and out. Now I have to buy a sweater de-piller to keep up. Who wants to groom their sweater every time they wear it? I have owned merino wool before, and never seen anything like this. Don't know if it was the yarn and something happened in the manufacturing process, or what. Disappointed.

Arrived and came out o the bag already pilling
I needed a comfy, oversized sweater for WFM during the cold winter months and this seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, this sweater is both warm AND a hot mess. It came out of the LL Bean bad already pilling on the front. I put it on and withoin minutes, the pilling multiplied like Gremlins after midnight.
Do not waste your money.

Pleasant surprise
This sweater is fabulous. Warm, not heavy, very cuddly, longish with a nice drape. The catalogue picture hardly does it justice. I was very pleasantly surprised. I hope LL Bean brings it back again next year in more colors - it's a winner. I'm short, and was afraid it would be too long. It isn't.

Comfortable with excess pilling
Very comfortable and fits great but it started pilling the first time I wore it. The attached pictures show pilling after wearing it three times.
