Outstanding chairs for beach use
We are on the beach (East Coast, mainly) with regularity. With age, our decades old (but very reliable) Byer chairs have become less comfortable. This LLBean product is outstanding -- for it's comfort, construction, and materials. Takes more space to pack in car than our slimmer wooden chairs, but the comfort gain is worthwhile. We look forward to years of use with these LLBean chairs. They are more expensive than what you can get at retails stores around the beach, but the construction and materials quality are considerably greater. As ever, you get what you pay for!

Not for short people
I love most of the things about this chair, but as I am 5ft0, the non-adjustable headrest isn't helpful.

It's not perfect but it's better than what I had.
I ordered it because the Tommy Bahama look alike that I had didn't hold up well after a few summers. Yours seems sturdier but I am not in love. I wish it was 1-2 inches more off the ground (I'm definitely getting old) and that it could lean back farther. It really lacks a zip pocket to put things in. My other chair had two pockets, one was insulated for cold stuff. The zippers broke. Now I have to put stuff in a bag and put it inside the chair as I fold it up and hope it doesn't fall out. It does fold up much easier (I had to whack the other one for it to fold). The head rest is fine (I saw other complaints) for me, I'm 5'5".

Disappointed
I was looking for a chair for my husband who is 6’4, 245lbs. Decided to splurge on the LL Bean chair instead of the Tommy Bahama chairs that we have had for years. We took the LL Bean chair to the OBX. He sat in it twice before it collapsed on the beach. He was embarrassed and I was furious that I spent so much money on such a cheaply constructed chair.

Can’t lie flat…
Shocked no reviews have mentioned it, but you can’t lay this chair flat to lie on your stomach. Pretty big miss. Also agree that the pillow hits the top of your head and is not adjustable. I got on sale for $80 but I wouldn’t pay full price for this.
