NOT WATERPROOF
this is NOT waterproof....bought for a canoe trip and items inside got wet...good thing I had wrapped them in extra plastic...particularly susceptible to water exposed to the bottom of the bag

Very durable
I bought this last year for an African safari trip. While the snaps are a bit hard to close at first, the bag stood up well to the rough travel and it has now become my weekend travel bag. I would suggest a different snap for bringing the handles together at the top of the bag. But I recommend this bag for its durability.
