Nice quality pants, wish fit was different
This is an update to my previous review of these pants. Although a 30 fit me in the waist, there was not enough room in the seat to move comfortably, which is what I find with the "standard" fit on most Bean pants. I sized up to a 31 waist and I decided to keep them this time. It may be the case that other brands do "vanity sizing" and Bean does not (in other brands I sometimes wear a 29). Anyway, I wish these came with a higher rise and more room in the seat. Other than that, they are great pants. The material is a quality 100% cotton twill with no stretch, which is so hard to find these days. I also like that these pants do not come pre-softened. The stiffer material feels higher quality and raw, and c'mon, these are still chinos not workwear. There's no need for companies to pre-soften a chino. I wish Bean would list the weight of the material on their product descriptions to make shopping for high-quality items easier.

Really wanted to like these, awkward fit
I have had a number of pants from LL Bean that are described as "Standard Fit", and I just can't deal with how tight they are in the seat. They fit in the waist and inseam, but I don't like how low on the waist they are and how little range of motion they allow. I wish this pant came in Classic Fit. I am a customer who does not under any circumstances want "stretch" in my pants. I appreciate when LL Bean offers 100% natural fiber clothing (rare these days). The material is a nice weight, and I wish it was even more reinforced with a stronger fiber like hemp or linen.

Almost Perfect
I have been looking SO long for 100% cotton (no stretch), button fly flat front chinos and it turned out LL Bean has them! They are 97% perfect. If only the fly was a lititle bit longer (one extra button). The pockets one inch deeper, and there was also a button on the left back pocket, we would be seeing perfection. Guess that’s a dream 🙏
