Rated 4 de 5 de par ski shoes These seem to work quite well as an alternative to actual cross country skis. They did not come with any directions on how to adjust the fit any size straps. I couldn't quite figure it out. Please give me some instructive guidance. Until I figure out or get an actual instruction guide, I won't be able to use them properly.

Rated 5 de 5 de par excellent value for casual exercise and fun The skis performed as expected. I had never used these kind of skis before (only had alpine ski experience) but found them satisfactory and excellent for casual use. I especially like the fact that the bindings work with hiking boots. I was able to shuffle and ski around a nearby wooded park with gently rolling hills. Took some getting used to, and had a few wipeouts, but overall had a great time and got excellent exercise. The price is excellent for what you get with this product. The skis have a plastic fishscale pattern on part of the underside of each ski (for oneway gripping the snow). The skis also have metal edges. In my opinion, these are intended for casual use, not for competitive or challenging backcountry/crosscountry skiing.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Skishoe does skishoe things Ski well on trails and packed snow. Powder depends on depth and wet/dryness of the powder. Obviously not going to be as good as a snowshoe in deep pow but you get these for overall versatility. I've gone up some steep nonsense in them. Smaller steps and stomping engages the fish skin better. No complaints there. The bindings aren't anything special. They're super basic and on the small side. Can barely latch the ankles on my size 11 zamberland hiking boots. That's the biggest drawback, really. But for the price, can't complain. I've used them in super loose waist deep powder, it's not easy but easier than rawdogging it. They really excel on groomed trail and light powder. Fun to bushwhack though. Do about 2.5 miles every day on them during lunch break.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Pretty good… Depending on Terrain It’s a fictional ski/show shoe that does well with gentle terrain on powdery snow. Purchased a couple years ago and have had some opportunities to try out in the West Virginia mountains. I do the metal sides and the ski itself is short and fat. The bindings are pretty suspect though. Swapping to different bindings may be required for more intense settings. All said though, they make for a fun outing if taken to more gentle hills.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Great potential but.. I own a pair of these only the Whitewoods "Outlander", different in graphics only. I also own Altai Hoks and Altai Koms. This "Skishoe"/"Outlander" needs a little modification to work much better: bindings flimsey and mounted much too far back on ski. I converted mine to 75mm 3-pin HD Voile' "mountaineer" and mounted (with new inserts spaced for "Telemark Norm" rather than original "Nordic Norm" 2" then 4" forward and turned them into a more balanced and effective climbing, and way more responsive turning ski (using rugged supportive 75mm ski boot). The Altai brand has all this done right from the start, and their inserts accept the proper 3-pin/Telemark Norm bindings that bolt right on (with shorter bolts). The L.L.Bean/Whitewoods Skishoe/Outlander is a pretty fun ski, but takes some significant modification to get there..

Rated 1 de 5 de par Look really nice, but pricey They look like they would be a lot of fun. Friends have similar ones and enjoy them. I feel that they are a bit pricey. I would really love to give them a try, but not at this price. Sorry LL Bean. I love your products but will have to wait on this one.
