Mostly love it
Since it turned very cold here, I've enjoyed wearing this jacket as it is light weight yet warm. I wish the pockets had zippers. The snaps on the pockets are hard to open and close with gloves on. The pockets are too shallow to leave them unsnapped because you risk something falling out. Even when snapped shut, snow can still get into them, which seems to defeat the purpose of a pocket in a winter jacket.

Cute and lightweight
Cute style but was pretty thin and I was looking for a heavy weight warm winter coat for life in the mountains.

Nice jacket but not perfect
I bought this a month ago and like it. I initially wanted a lightly insulated rain jacket to wear over bulky wool winter sweaters. Finding one long enough with a two way zipper was impossible so I bought this. I am 5'7" and weigh 155. LLBean size chart and garmet dimensions said I should wear a Large but I bought an XL based on reviews and wanted it to fit over my sweaters. The reviews are accurate about the sleeves being very tight for the size of the coat and the wool lining is picky. It works for me because of bulky sweaters/turtlenecks. It would be the perfect if these two things were fixed, was waterproof, had a pocket for the hood, and a zipper with the pull on the right instead of left. It's plenty warm enough to wear in Northern Michigan on a 32 degree windy day with bulky sweaters.

Zipper issue
Most of the jacket is nice. However, I dislike the cheap plastic zipper. It is very difficult to line up the plastic double zippers and then they get stuck. I have to step out of the zipped coat to try and get the zipper apart. Too expensive to have this issue. I don't think I'll buy any more coats from LL Bean.

Great coat
Waterproof and warm. A great asset for rainy weather. True to size. The wool does NOT feel itchy.
