"Heritage" Means a Cut Above the Rest
I took a double-take when I noticed that this anorak is designated "Heritage." Everything L.L. Bean designates "Heritage" comes from its traditional archive styling and is topnotch quality. This anorak is no exception, despite its basic understated simplicity. Even though I normally wear a petite, Bean's heritage classics fit me just fine in regular, probably because they seem to be cut just a bit smaller overall than Bean's clothing over the more recent years. Being just 5'2" tall, I have to turn the cuffs up once on this particular item, but, to my pleasant surprise, the upturns show the outside of the material, so it looks right. Finally, this anorak can be worn with or without the waist cinched. Personally, I prefer not to cinch. Cinched outerwear waists remind me too much of WWII SS coats, but that's just me.

No shape and the drawstring to cinch the waste is in the front so you end up with a bow or not in front which shows through. Should’ve been on the sides or in the back.

practical garment , appears to be well made , light weight ,folds or rolls up compactly . perfect wind breaker to be worn over a sweater ,for sudden changes of weather or/& chilly evenings. I hope to be able to successfully apply a coat of water repellant.
