Our sweater is crafted from 100% premium lambswool yarns that are richly textured and noticeably softer than competitors' versions. In fact, it's practically impossible to find other ragg sweaters made without using lesser wool-blend yarns. Each of our ragg wool sweaters is designed stitch by stitch with time-honored styling and details.

Runs large
I’m 5’9” and 145 lbs. Size medium was huge on me. I just got the small and I’m still swimming in it. Bummed that there isn’t an XS option.
Not sure what’s happened to LL Bean sizing. Mediums in shirts, outerwear and fleece used to fit fine.
#disappointed.

Warm sweater
I was looking for a thick wool sweater, I have one from llbewn that is great, but wanted another but on brown...this one was not the color,and the stitching was too open for me.

Classic New England style and warmth!
I bought the blue "birdseye" Ragg Wool sweater at 2:30 AM at the original store in Freeport, ME in 1980 when I was still in college. We would leave Durham, NH at midnight to drive up and shop with all the other night owls. The sweater is still in perfect condition and looks as good as it did when I bought it 45 years ago. Thank you for making such great products that will, literally, last a lifetime!

Ragg Wool Sweater
The sweater fits perfectly, however the arms of the sweater pilled up after wearing the sweater only four times. Very disappointed with that result after paying almost $90 for the sweater. I have stopped wearing it after only four times using it. I would definitely not recommend this sweater for anyone.
