Our sweater is crafted from 100% premium lambswool yarns that are richly textured and noticeably softer than competitors' versions. In fact, it's practically impossible to find other ragg sweaters made without using lesser wool-blend yarns. Hard to Find Wool Sweater
It’s very difficult to find a nice heavy wool sweater at a reasonable price point, so when I saw that this was on sale at LL Bean I jumped at it. I already had ones of these in a different color that I purchased probably 7 years ago. What I noticed when comparing the two is that the newer one is not as thick, which was disappointing. Also, the color was not what I thought I was ordering. There were two on the site with Brown patterns and I wanted the darker one. What arrived was more muted and less attractive for my coloring. I ended up keeping it because I looked on the site and saw that the darker one was no longer available. I should have returned it given the lighter weight and different color, but I kept it and am sure it will keep me nice and warm.

Mildew Sweater
The fit is great and the sweater is beautiful, but it sticks like a moldy, musty cottage. I just brought it to the dry cleaner to see if they could remove the stench. I’ve bought at least 20 sweaters from L.L. Bean over the years and I’ve never had this issue.

This sweater is very thick and warm, but for me is unwearable without another layer underneath. It's so itchy. It also runs large. I returned it.

Very pleased with this sweater
I love the colors and the fit of this sweater, and above all, the warmth. I also have the same comparable sweater which is grey-blue fair isle lambswool sweater, which I love as well. L L Bean sure knows how to make warm sweaters without forsaking nice colors and style. Will buy more sweaters from LL Bean in the future.
