This exclusive flannel is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test," and only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Too long in petite size
This is the second LL Bean shirt in a petite size that I am returning because it is too long. I have a number of older LLBean button-down shirts -- flannel, denim, cotton -- and have found the petite sizes to be a godsend. I wonder if they have made them longer for some reason, but they look sloppy because they hang down too far.

Flannel without buttons!
