A must! Soft. Provides appropriate insulation as a base layer. Dries quickly. Does not retain odor. Ibought one in each color. The"dark nlack" is more of a heather gray. I wish this came in a mock turtle neck. I have found many of the ll bean base layer items to have a change in quality. This is new to me. If you like the fabric buy several now before design and fabric change.

Nice baselayer
Nice thin layer to wear under ski tops. Replaced my silk layer which was getting too beat up each season. This is similarly thin and warm but more durable. Was in between sizes and took smaller size for closer fit. Material has some stretch so very comfortable even in smaller size. Nice soft fabric.

Soft base layers for women; warm & comfortable!
I received a base layer in the navy but am still waiting for delivery of the white top. The navy top is warm, launders well, & dries quickly. The material is soft & comfortable without bulk. I would recommend these tops to anyone who loves being outdoors in the cold weather. These tops are even great as pajamas.
