A well-functioning pair of long underwear.
These are not too tight around my waist at all and help keep my legs warm. I have an older pair of long underwear for the legs (that are not L.L. Bean) that fit fine around the waist but have some rips in them. They don’t keep my legs as warm.

Smooth and comfortable
