When I was in the USMC, I wore this over my Alpha's in winter time. Green was approved.

Beautiful Sweater, Tight Fit
Received as a gift. Was tight, even for an XL. Surprised as LL Bean clothing has always fit well.

Great warm sweater
Originally bought the XL. Had to send it back and get the XXL. Didn't make sense to me because I have the commando sweater in crew neck size XL and in the three button short neck size XL. It appears the full zip cardigan runs narrow/small. Perhaps it is being made by a different subcontracted company. It is, however, a good-looking sweater and a warm sweater.

It’s a no-go
This sweater smelled like a wet sheep when washed. It was terrible and lingered even after it dried. It also shrunk quite a bit after washing, and I didn’t bother trying to stretch or reshape it because of the smell.

Zipper malfunctions
The wool Commando sweater is high quality with a perfect fit. Unfortunately, the zipper gets caught in the wool when zipping and unzipping so I returned it. The sweater was a Xmas gift for my Dad so he is disappointed. Another issue is that the sweater was advertised online as $120 with a 20% discount but when I received the sweater, the price tag was $109 so I should've gotten a 20% discount on the tagged price.
