Beautiful Color
I am petite and thought this backpack would be a good fit. The straps are comfy, and a water bottle can be stored in the side pocket. This is a good backpack for an elementary kid. It basically holds a planner, my iPad, my wallet, and some pens. It doesn't have a laptop pocket, and that can squeeze my Macbook into it.

Great backpack for my laptop! This is very comfortable on my shoulders. The color is very pretty. I love all the extra pockets and things. I got it monogrammed and it looks great! I highly recommend this backpack!

Poor Design
If you want to carry a water bottle larger than a test tube then don’t buy this. LL Bean this is basic and you need to fix it. Worst backpack ever.

Poorly designed-small small side pouches
Beautiful fabric and feels very sturdy. My daughter was excited to get this backpack for Christmas. She packed it for school and was about to walk to the car. She attempted to put her water bottle in the side pocket and it would not fit. We found a smaller one and it wouldn’t fit. Too small for any bottle of water and that is a basic feature we expect and need. Will be returning.

Good backpack option for 'normal' travel
Nicely padded, seems strong/secure (as for airplane carryon), good amount of carry space, side pockets for water bottle, etc. Comfy to wear & carry. Would recommend.

Too small for Middle School
Great quality, but too small. It's also fairly heavy, even when empty. My 6th grade son cannot fit his binder, one textbook, lunch, water bottle, and small umbrella in it. Perhaps good for an elementary schooler. I am having to buy a new backpack for him now.
