Elastic waist shorts
The shorts are really great but... they would be even better if they only had the elastic waist and no extra laces. My husband has dementia, lives in a facility, and the laces are something to play with. As a result the laces get knots in them and then the elastic does not stretch to be able to put them on. The knots are very tight and I have to use a knitting tool to untie them.

My Son liked it, few comments though !
I ordered the Light Hickory in the large for my son. The color is muted classy rusty-brownish. It fits him well with plenty of room. So I ordered the medium to see if he likes that size better (most likely he will like the large !).
The complains that others have made is true, that you most likely can't rely only on the waist elastic, and you got to use the waist cord.
And yes the pockets should have been deeper, but I am handy and can alter them to make them deeper pockets.

I bought these to wear around the house in the summer and to do Tai Chi when it's warm. I'm a 62-year-old woman who appreciates comfort and quality even in a pair of casual shorts. These are well made from durable material. They have good, deep pockets, unlike women's shorts and pants. They come about mid-thigh on me. They are sure to last a long time! I bought them in green because that was the sale color and they're Kermit green. I would go for a neutral if sale price didn't matter.
