Gaping pockets, no drape.
The fit has changed since earlier versions of the comfort trail pants. Even though the waste is loose and the pants are not tight on me, the front pockets gape and make them look like jodhpurs. My previous comfort trail pants had more drape and no gape. I had hoped to replace the old pants, which were size 6 petite, with a size 4 petite so I would not have to cinch in the adjustable waste so much. Unfortunately, although the length of these is good for me (5 feet tall), the loose waste and odd fit are too problematic to keep them.

'Adjustable' waist too tight
I loved the fabric on these pants, soft and breathable. Though the waist has an elastic with button holes that one can pull tighter, there is inly one hole to allow it to lengthen but it will not move in the right direction to make the waist larger! I originally tried size 10, and returned because waist is too tight. Now size 12 appears no larger at all! Pity, and no wonder the price is reduced. Strange design/cut.

Disappointed in the fabric
I have purchased several pairs of these trail pants over the years. Was very pleased with the quality until my most recent purchase in June of 2024. I got a pair of the navy pants and soon noticed that the fabric was looking worn and had pilling on the front. My older pants still look like new, despite numerous hikes and launderings. Looks like they have added spandex to the fabric making it less durable. At least they haven't changed anything else. Great pant for all around use, from working in the yard to going out for the evening.

Best Travel Pants Ever
These are the best travel pants ever! I always wear them on planes, as there is a secure pocket for I.D., money for tips, etc. The pockets are deep enough that items will not accidentally fall out. The fabric does not easily wrinkle, so I arrive looking decent, and it breathes!

I bought a size up as I am hard to fit in pants. These were great, not too big. They are very packable, bought for travel and rain days for walks and hikes. Really liked having them.
