Hat Size does not fit all
I was at the bean store looking for a new fishing hat. I stumbled across the nice straw hat. I tried it on and did not come close to fitting with out causing a major headache if I had to wear it for any length of time. Disappointed that they do not offer the hat in sizes maybe like a sm-med large to x-large

not what i expected
I bought this hat but did not realize hat was stiff and could not be packed easily. This is the only reason I returned it. Color and fit was good, just not easily packed for a trip.

Cute but too floppy
This hat was cute but very floppy. The front kept falling down in front of my face. If you were reading on the beach it would be fine, but for activity it drove me crazy. I ended up returning it.

Hats off to L.L. Bean!
Great for Keeping the sun at bay. We can do our yard chores and be confident we're protected from Ol' Sol! Skin cancer is not to be ignored! Great quality as always from L.L. Bean.

Nice But Doesn't Entirely Keep the Sun at Bay
It's cute and cool for those sunny days. I wish the brim was a little bit wider to make it a true sunhat. As it is, it doesn't protect my entire face.

Weird hat
I expected this hat to be a lot floppier than it is. It’s very stiff though. And for unknown reasons the band inside is black which makes no sense. Why not make it the same color as the hat? It wouldn’t matter but when I wear it you can SEE the black band inside. Just a poor design choice.
It is well made and the materials are clearly good quality, though.
I’m going to keep it and hopefully I can break it in to give it a looser, floppy vibe.

Floppy brim.
The brim is very floppy. I wish it was a little stuffer but it's a good hat. The size is adjustable which is good.
