Not one of Bean’s best.
Cut too tight in shoulders, arms, and torso, even for the other “slightly fitted” clothes from Bean. Inside fabric is sticky with shirts especially flannel. No inside slash pocket. I gave it away.

Nice but...
I bought this jacket primary for its color (Dark Marine Blue). Since it was not available at my local store, I purchased it online. The good: nicely made, the color is great, the jacket is warm and comfortable*, the size is spot-on. The bad*: very difficult to slide your arms through the sleeves due to the way the fleece lining on the upper half of the jacket extends partially into the sleeve openings, especially when wearing a flannel shirt. You must hold onto your shirt cuffs when putting your arms through, and then you usually have to make several "adjustments" to get comfortable. Since I wear a lot of Bean flannel shirts, I do not wear this jacket often.

Nice coat BUT
Great warmth but needs an inside vest pocket on each side as well as an outside vest pocke ... men today need to carry many things therefor pockets to carry them in are important (Hence the birth of cargo pants in summer)
The liner sticks to everything when trying to put on the coat , ( Frankly its a struggle ) the liner doesn't fall right when wearing it it bunches and hangs like its not attached to the coat
Too bad nice coat but needs some tweaking to bring it to 5 stars

Perfect slim fit jacket
Finally a mens winter jacket that fits a slim guy. I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs. So most mens jackets fit me like a hot air balloon. But this jacket has a slim cut that fits well and isn't a balloon through the waist.

Bean Down Jacket
A great value for a high quality down jacket. I was pleased with the warmth to weight fill during a very cold early December in PA. As other reviewers stated the absence of an internal pocket is missed but not a show stopper in my purchase.
