Our original SunSmart™ apparel, Tropicwear was first introduced in 1992 to protect destination anglers from the hot tropical sun. Customers quickly discovered Tropicwear wasn't just for fishing, using it for just about anything outdoors. It's been updated with a better fit, new stretch woven fabric that's softer and better ventilation. Best of all, Tropicwear still provides UPF 50+ sun protection, or about 10 times more than a white cotton tee.
- Shell: 71% polyester, 29% nylon.
- Machine wash and dry.
- New vertical back caping works well with fishing packs.
- UPF 50+ fabric blocks at least 97.5% of the sun's UV rays.

Most of my wardrobe is LL Bean. I have never received so many compliments on the Tropicwear Shirt. It's amazing and I hope you have no colors because I will buy them all.

Material on this shirt not acceptable
Material used on this shirt is unacceptable. It is almost like the material on the outside of a windbreaker jacket. Feels like nylon or other combo...makes noise when you move...very thin. I have many other Tropicwear shirts, but the fabric is much better...more like shirt material. I should have sent it back, but did not. Have not yet worn it due to this problem.
