Customers quickly discovered Tropicwear wasn't just for fishing, using it for just about anything outdoors. It's been updated with a better fit, new stretch woven fabric that's softer and better ventilation. Best of all, Tropicwear still provides UPF 50+ sun protection, or about 10 times more than a white cotton tee.

Wish it came in Navy Blue
Although I had to wait months because this was back ordered it is a fantastic hot weather sun protection. It appears sturdy like it would last for years if you took care of it. My one beef is the color choices, only pastels. I got the silver birch color, basically a very very light khaki, or off white. It would be so nice if there were some dark color options for travel. I don’t like wearing very light clothes traveling because I’m worried about getting stains on it that I can’t wash out while on the road.

Nice shirt for breathable sun protection
I have a number of SPF shirts that I wear for hiking. This one seems to be the coolest while providing good protection. It's lightweight and breathable. It also doesn't seem to hold onto odors the way that some SPF fabrics can.

Obvious logo on chest area
I really wanted to order the Tropic wear shirt but I don’t want to wear the LLBean logo on my chest! Maybe when Bean realizes they’re losing business by putting their logo in such a prominent place, they’ll listen to their customers and put a more discreet logo elsewhere. I have no hope that they’ll discontinue making us part of their advertising.
