Our original SunSmart™ apparel, Tropicwear was first introduced in 1992 to protect destination anglers from the hot tropical sun. It's been updated with a better fit, new stretch woven fabric that's softer and better ventilation. Best of all, Tropicwear still provides UPF 50+ sun protection, or about 10 times more than a white cotton tee.

Comfortable yet looks sharp
Compared to its Columbia analogue, this fits better and is far more breathable. As others have commented, this is not a roomy shirt but works quite well over a t-shirt or other sun shirt. I wore one every day in the California sunshine last week, and found it very comfortable and not restricting in any way. It also looks nice too, something I hadn't expected.

Planning ahead
Good fit and feel, but with triple digit weather now I am not wearing long sleeves. I will probaly make an update when things cool to the 80's.

Perfect hiking shirt
Perfect for backpacking trip! These were used on a 7 day hiking backpacking expedition. These were my go-to hiking clothes and without fail were the perfect choice for such a trip. Highly recommend without any hesitation.
